Cameras Allowed Inside DuPage County Courtroom
In a groundbreaking case, cameras were allowed into a courtroom in DuPage County as Elzbieta Plackowska faces multiple first degree murder charges. Plackowska has been charged with the deaths of her 7 year old son and 5 year old girl.
Earlier this year, the Illinois Supreme Court authorized a ‘pilot program’ to study the effects of allowing cameras into courtrooms, with 2 dozen counties in line to participate. DeKalb Man Charged with Sexual Abuse of a Family Member
An article created Thursday August 2, 2012 and posted in the DeKalb Daily Chronicle shows that a man from DeKalb has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a family member.
The man, Roberto F. Montoya, 57, of the 500 block of West Knolls Street, is being held stemming from two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. According to the courts Montoya is accused of inappropriately touching and groping a female family member under the age of 13, said Dekalb Police Lieutenant Jason Leverton. Woman Charged with Child Endangerment
Joheidi Martinez from the northwest side of Chicago was arrested after having left an 8 year old child and 2 dogs inside of her car on Tuesday, according to an article in The Chicago Sun-Times. Martinez, 30, of the 4500 block of North Lawndale Avenue, was charged with child endangerment as well as animal abandonment after having left the 3 unattended in her car in Skokie while she attended a hearing inside the Skokie courthouse.

Man Arrested for Walking Down the Street with a Gun
The Daily Chronicle out of DeKalb Illinois is running an article in which an individual from DeKalb has been charged with disorderly conduct. He was witnessed transporting an uncased gun near a school and the school’s sports practice area.
The man, Gary H. Tadd, 63, was tracked down by DeKalb police near his home on the 1100 block of Elizabeth Street, according to DeKalb police Lt. Jason Leverton. North Aurora Man Charged with Selling Drugs to Undercover Police
The Kane County Chronicle is reporting that a young man from North Aurora has been charged with selling marijuana to undercover officers of the Illinois State Police.
Krisada M. Cheung, 18, of North Aurora, has been charged with selling drugs to undercover officers from the North Central Narcotics Task Force.
