On Monday, January 14, police found a boy running down a sidewalk in the West Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. When questioned, the boy was unable to tell police his name, his parents’ names, or where he lived. His mother, Carla Conrad, has now been charged with misdemeanor child endangerment. She came to detectives after receiving a phone call from the boy’s father, who had seen his picture on the news. Police do not know how long the boy was out on the streets.
