According to a Chicago Tribune story, the DuPage County State’s Attorney charged the former president of the Wheaton North High School booster club with stealing nearly $11,000 from funds that were earmarked to support students’ extracurricular activities. The 57-year-old woman allegedly took cash advances from a booster club-issued American Express credit card of almost $11,000, and then withdrew more than $9,800 from a club bank account in order to pay off the credit card cash advances.
